having pains? help?

Question

anyone know what can be done other than going 2 the doctors about this
what the problem is am having really bad pains in the lower stomach abdomin area and also pains underneath my rib cage on my side and its starting 2 get bad where a feel am about 2 be sick or collapse with the pain anybody know what a can about it till i get my appointment with my doctorits not my normal period pain either and also a dont drink much and i dont smoke any1 able 2 give any advice that would help that be good ty

i have also been gettin lower back pain

Unfortunately diagnosis isn't that simple, especially in a woman. If the pain is on your right side, it could be anything from gallstones, an ovarian cyst, appendicitis, irritable bowel, or a kidney infection, to something as simple as a really bad stomach virus. If the pain is on your left side, you can eliminate the chances of appendix and gallstones, but the rest remain possiblities. If the pain is that intense, perhaps you really should consider going to the emergency room and having it looked into. If it's the appendix, the sooner it's out the better. At the very least you can get something to make you more comfortable in the meantime. Pain is usually a really good indicator that something serious is going on, and a visit to the ER is not inappropriate. It's not the same as going in with a case of sniffles. My advice is to go to the ER if the pain is that bad, and not waiting for the appointment.

There are GP at your emergency rooms.

Appendix? bladder infection? gas? Intestine Infections? stomach ulcers? Liver? Kidney

Could be lots of stuff. try drinking some tea to calm your nerves. If your tense it will make it worse. Are you regular? try taking laxatives, or fibre.
Flu are going around, it will affect your stomach.... my hospital right now is under quartine froma flu out break. Go get help now, especially if you feel like you might collapse.

If you dont tihnk you can drive there call a friend.

i am in emergency medicine and what you describe could be a number of things,but one is we need to know what side below your ribcage is hurting right or left could help a little in the diagnosis, have you been running a temp, have you had nausea /vomiting, diarrhea. Lower back pain Lower abd. pain could be a number of things , does your area hospital have a help line if so call them and advise of your situation and seek medical attention asap

This doesn't sound too good, you need to go see a doctor. You can't diagnose the symptoms yourself. It could be anything from an ulcer to a tumor. Sorry if I'm scarign you, but until you visit your doctor you won't know.

it can be many reasons it's hard not to ask you questions. It could be your diet if you are eating a lot of greasy foods that can cause stomach pains. do you take ib profen? it has that affect if you take a lot of it and /or you take it on an empty stomach. maybe that's it.
