I wanted to get the PS3 today, but its all sold out and i dont want to pay $3000 on ebay. But is the PS3 actually worth the $500/$600? Any of you actually buying it today?

I would never buy a playstation right off the market. I bought one when they first came out with PS 2 there were so many glitches and junk it quit working as soon as the warrenty was up I think like 6 mos or so. Besides I'm content with my PS2. Well the one that I had bought two years ago. And besides who wants to pay that much money for a console? Not me. I have groceries to buy bills to pay pets to take care of. Being an adult sucks.

Been playing mine since Monday and can't let go!!!!! It's worth the money if you pay for it.....
I played games on a PS3 development kit at work (EA Sports) over a year ago and was impressed with it. Only thing is that it did not look anything like the final release. Looked like a tan PC tower with a PSP hanging out for a controller. Graphics were cool and game play fantastic, even for beta games. I got my PS3 free from my landlord who works for Sony in Foster City, CA three days ago and am impressed! It's a great investment!

scrap the conception of having a headset. purchase the pseye.....its staggering....that's cam/and mic.......u dont look like an fool even as wering one....and u can nonetheless listen different stuff. the pseye is prob as low-cost as maximum headsets yet provides further benifits like bein waiting to modify pictures for the period of video games(particular video games like burnout use this characteristic) u can hav video chat and there is loose software available on playstation keep(eyecreate) which helps u to make stop motions/ or timpelapse video clips......upload cool outcomes that u gotta see to have self assurance and there is multiple cool low-cost video games on keep too

$3000 bucks wow I would have volunteered to sit at Best Buy for my boyfriends dad he wanted to get one and sell it on ebay but I think they are only letting out 30 at each Best Buy and the two I went by today already have ppl with tents sitting out there...and they have to be there till SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!
