Ok so one night me and my friend were egging my school when we saw a drunk man laying by a tree about to pass out. We immediately left after we saw him.The next day at my school everything seemed normal until someone told me that a guy died last night because of alcohol poisoning. At that moment i knew that it was the guy we saw , but it gets worse. the guy that died was actually this kids father! He is in 1 of my classes and he showed up for school that day!

after this incident i felt it was partially my fault that he died and i could of done something to rescue him.

this is a true story that happened about 2 months ago. im 13

You are not responsible for this man's death. You were scared when you saw a stranger, so you left...which is what most people would do. He didn't die because of you, he had his own problems, so don't blame yourself.

I feel sorry for what you and the family that is going through this hard time. Maybe you could have called for help but then maybe it could have happened to him when no one was around. I believe that things happen for a reason and even though it is very sad it is just some people's time to go out from this world. I think that maybe you need to talk to an adult and tell them how you feel. But remember that you didn't make this man drink and you didn't kill him, he killed himself.

Yeah, that's a pretty sad story I suppose.

Sad that the man died... Sad that he had some problems... Sad that the kid probably has some problems influenced by his father...

Sad that you were egging your school...

its fine. its not barely your fault. of course at that age you are afraid of strangers and usaully drunk people tend to abuse minors. Hope you can talk to your school counselor for more advice.

if this is a true story, one, no its not your fault. this man obviously had an alcohol problem. two, you need to talk to your school counselor or your church pastor. three, dont be vandalizing...good luck.....
