Largest Body of water in the ancient world......hmmmmmmm...I didn't know the sizes large bodies of water changed that much in historical times except the Aral sea which has shrunk significantly. I'm sure the ancient Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans thought the Pacific was the largest while Romans and Greeks thought it was the Mediterranean Sea eventhough both civilzations knew about the Atlantic they thought the world ended soon after passing through the straits of Heraceles(Hercules) or better known today as the straits of Gibralter.
