Here, I searched google and found this, it's a bunch of Science Fair Experiments that other kids have used. :)

glycerine and potassium permanagate oxidizing reaction releases heat, and burns the glycerine.

calcium carbide and water - used by miners to form acetylene to burn in lamps

keep a fire extinguisher close
