lets face it.. there are jobs out there that aren't worth more than that.
these high minimums are going to hurt a lot of small businesses.

I don't believe there should be a minimum wage set by the government! I feel that if I want to work for 2 or 3 dollars an hour I should have the right to!!!

The minimum wage is fine where it is right now. Let's think about it, if you raise minimum wage to $7.25, small business would struggle even more to find ways to cut overhead, thus fewer people being employed, the cost of goods and services would jump dramtically. You think gas prices are high now???? The cost of living would increase just as quickly as the minimum wage, being offset. Healthcare costs would skyrocket. The less money your employer has to contribute to health insurance, the more we'd have to pay out of pocket. It wouldn't be pretty!
