I am an atheist too, but am also a music lover. Listen to what sounds good to you.
Good music is good music. It won't make you believe in God, just like listening to Ozzy won't make you want to commit suicide.

It doesn't matter what they believe, well it does, but it's not what you believe so why should you care? You shouldn't delete it. If you like their music GO FOR IT!! Sometimes I listen to nonchristian bands because I like the beat or something. I don't really have to take the words to heart, neither do you although I wish you would!

*By the way. No one can be an athesist. Think about it. Something in your life is a God to you. Maybe music, a car, a girl/guy, anything put before God. (It is just a fact that I was really studying a few seconds ago and thought I would let you know!)

May God Bless you,

What's wrong with listening to bands whose members believe in something different than you? I think that's silly.

I'm an atheist, but I listen to whatever music I like, no matter which beliefs the musicians have. I don't care what they believe, I care whether their music is any good. If you had to ignore everything done/made by theists you'd have an empty and sad life. I suggest you learn to live with people who are different from you. That is very well possible without sharing their beliefs/opinions.

If you want. I still have a lot of Christian tapes/CDs from when I was a Christian. Now I'm an Atheist but still listen to them sometimes. Not much anymore as I find a lot of it annoying now. I have thrown some out. But don't be afraid of it. If you want to keep it, go ahead. Many "Christian" bands nowadays are only nominally Christian anyway.

I was gonna say "If you like them why delete them?" but I'm a christian if I found out that a band I liked promoted not believing in God or worshipped satan I would delete them.... so its up to you. I dont think its a big deal. A lot of the songs from christian bands have messages that can speak to everyone not just Christians.

No way bro. A lot of people im sure you interact with are not atheist but you dont cut them out. You just like the band simply for there fat riffs, killer drum beats, and high pitched screams. nothing more nothing less. Like me, i play guitar. half the time im listening to the guitar and drums in the music. f the bass f the lyrics. but only for a couple bands and song.

If you are an athiest, religion shouldn't play a role in your life.

The only thing that should determine if you listen to a band is if your like the music or not.

The band's religious affiliation is not your own, so don't be silly and refuse to listen to music you like.

If you like the music, why delete it?! There are some bands I listen to that are classified as "christian rock" but I'm not christian...Music is Music...it shouldn't matter what the people believe...I listen to christian rock as well as some Slayer who I've heard are satanic...I don't care what their personal beliefs are, but I like their music

Oh Henry! Do what you want. Obviously, if you liked the music in the first damn place, you wouldn't even be asking. You're far too cool to listen to anything affiliated with Christianity.....ewww. You'd better research EVERYTHING cuz there are A LOT of christians!! AND, if you live in AMerica(or a lot of other countries), you might wanna move cuz America was founded on Christianity.

You really shouldn't judge people because they choose a differant way of life than you do, why dont you just listen them based on the talent they have. You should respect other people's beliefs. It would be a pretty amazing feat if every band we listened to, every singer, every performer, we watch, that we judge them on their spiritual beliefs or non beliefs before we decide they are worth listening to or watching. try not to be so prejudiced... Grow up!!
