I love the song "Sieze the Day" by Avenged Sevenfold and want to learn it, but to this day I don't understand playing in "Drop D" tuning. Any good SIMPLE tabs out there? Even just the rythem guitar would be great.

Drop D is a very easy tuning to play in, for the most part. In standard tuning you need two fingers to play a power chord, but in Drop D you need only 1.

De-Tune only the #6 string, the low E(thickest string) to D(same note as the 5th fret of the next thickest string).

OK, now say you want to play a D power chord. just hit the open 4, 5, and 6 strings. Taa-daa! It's a power chord. To play E, just place your finger over the 2nd fret and play.
