You can purchase cedar oil from places like Woodcraft http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx?FamilyID=763 . All you need to do is make sure that there is no finish on it, so that the oil can soak into the wood. Then you just wipe it on, let it soak in for a few minutes, then wipe off any extra that is still on the surface.

You can sand asou can buy the one before me state ..or you can buy cedar chips in a bag or cedar balls or re-line with cedar boards
