I am doing a project on media and body image on women and want to know, do men really want their women to be super skinny like the models and actresses on TV. I ask this question because I really want to know what some men think and if it is true.

My experience(personal and clientelle) suggests that we do not. Although we can appreciate a beautiful face we actually like someone with a figure. We all have features that attract our eye more than others, chest backside, legs etc but truly after the innitial view men quickly revert to the features they prefer and to the personality...men really just want a woman who makes them think they are the one without losing themselves.

I'm sure some men like stick thin girls, but not all. If all men wanted super skinny girls, then they're in for a let down, because average women usually wear sizes 12-16.

Hi Robyn I don't think they do. I don't beleive that they can really handle the pressure of a model. ANTP America's Next Top Model I think they want someone who comes close to model status as far as measurements. But can they really put up with the High maintenance of a demanding lifestyle?
