The post office never gets it right. Your best bet is to personally notify all your creditors and give them the change of address your self, any Insurance Company's, whatever important mail you have. Do not depend on the post office to do a good job. They don't. I would put in the change of address to the post office a month or more before I move. Still 6 months later they will be sending mail to that address. Not a bright group.

well you can just keep the bank account if the same branch is there where you will be living... I'd send the address change thing in about 7 days before i move.
