What is really interesting to me is how this is downplayed in our media. This story didn't even qualify as a blip on the radar screen of the network media.
Just like the story about the American soldier who raped the 14 year old Iraqi girl and then killed her and her family to cover it up. Not a blip. I had to hear about it on BBC.
Not only does our military have no morality, our media has no integrity!

You're statement (or question) is wrong.
This marine participated in events leading up to the death of this Iraqi. He did not kill, or murder, the man.
His sentence is indicative of his cooperation with the authorities.
Just imagine being surrounded by several other "guys" that are well armed and well trained during such an assault. Would you be scared to try and stop it?
War is hell!

A Marine got 90 years in Couts-Martial, for raping and killing a fourteen year old, and that was the plea-bargain! Until you do time in a military prison, as an enlisted man, you can have very little idea of what it's like. (Some circumstances may be accepted around that, but, yeah.) As an enlisted sailor, if a female, enlisted or Officer, thought I was harassing her, it would be hard time, plus a dishonorable discharge. Don't speak of things you have no clue of, unless you like appearing to be ignorant.

Because it's the military! Did you know that if you go to google.com and type in "miserable failure" then click "I'm feeling lucky" it'll pull an article about Pres. Bush and the White house? I'm in the military myself and I can surely say that right now it's all jacked up.

Are you speaking of the marine that raped and killed a 14 year old Iraqi girl and then murdered the rest of her family and burned her body to destroy the evidence? He should be locked up and have the key destroyed.

Death begets death. Thus, a person convicted of murder must also be sentenced with the penalty of death.

The military is a lot rougher than Civilian Courts.
I'm guessing that you don't really know what you are talking about.

Doesn't it seem odd because I thought that's why
we (US) send our military into war..........to kill the
enemy. And now, to be politically correct, if he does,
he's tried for murder. Tain't right.
