i have three pills left on my pack. i still took the test because i was worried. it came back positive. could it have been the level of hormones in the birth control that made it turn up like this.

Your Pregnancy test will come out postive if you are on the pill. The test measures a variance (change) in horomones that the pill puts in your body to trick it to think it is already pregant.

No it does not. The hormone used in the pill is different from the one being tested for in a pregnancy test. If your test came back positive, get to the doctor immediately. You are probably pregnant.

Mine never have had a problem telling me I'm pregnant. I was on birth control and got pregnant twice. If you read the package insert with a home pregnancy test it says that birth control will not effect the test. If you believe you are pregnant and the test comes up positive then most likely you are. Call your doctor and they will confirm by doing a blood test.

I will tell you this from personal experience. I'm on Yasmin, there have been 2 times when I've worried that I've been pregnant, and both times the test came out as clearly negative. So, from the best I can tell you, it doesn't. Im not sure why, maybe the tests test for a different kind/combination of hormones?

No, or at least mine didn't. I was on pill, never missed one and got pregnant. And my first test showed up positive.
