Ovulation predictor kits detect an LH surge. This is the hormone surge that triggers ovulation. A positive test would let you know that the hormone surge occured and ovulation will occur in the next 12-48 hours.

If you don't catch the LH surge don't worry. It is actually kinda hard for some women to catch the lH surge unless they test much more often than suggested.

A test is a test and it costs manufacturers penny to make it. Go for the dollar store ones and save some money!

I used the cheap ones towards the end of my buying days, worked just as good as the expensive ones (didnt get pregnant still though) I finally stopped stressing and testing and worrying and I got pregnant with my son. Then 2 years later had my twins.

The ones I used told you a plus sign and it meant ovulation would take place in the next 24 hours. You test every day for 5 days or more during the time you think you are going to ovulate

I prefer this over ovulation kits - Go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating. It also keeps track of your periods. It is a free and very helpful site to join.

If you want to read about ovulation kits go to http://www.peeonastick.com and click on OPK'S (ovulation predictor kits)

The ones that you buy at the dollar tree are the same as the higher priced ones. That is the only difference -The Price-

You can buy ovulation kits off of the net - go to http://www.earlypregnancytests.com & http://www.ovulationkits.com

Good luck and i hope i helped
