Which university in New York is the best one? I want to go to one around the Manhattan area also a shorter plane ride to canada.
Does anybody know of a university in New York like this?

Im living in London and want to see the best New York has to offer and want to be in a University surrounded by good student life, also i would like to attend a university of mixed culture with many international students.

Cornell, Colgate, Universities are the better schools. The
important issues are how are you working within the
scholarship plans, what field of studies, what type of training
for what adult career do you want?

New York University is a really great school and its in the Manhattan area.
The 3 best schools in New York are: Cornell University, Columbia University and New York University.

universities in Manhattan? Columbia is Ivy League, NYU is good... way expensive... Cornell and Colgate aren't in NYC but they are good too... Pratt Institute or Cooper union (for art or design)...
come to think of it... don't go to the best school just to go to the best school... go to the school that teaches the thing you want to learn the way you think you'd most benefit from... this is backwards.
Ithe best degrees in the world don't even get your foot in the door if you don't learn something from them. and degrees from podunk schools no one knows don't hold you back, if you have what it takes and are talented and educated...

In Manhattan, I would say Columbia is arguably the best in that area. Following close behind, NYU.

Columbia, NYU, and I know you said Manhattan but Brooklyn College is good and not well known. LOTS of successful people are coming out of there. Good luck!
