teh car is overheating, the cooling fans aren't working.

generally speaking with coolant sensors the higher the voltage the lower the temp. the sensor could be bad but there could also be a wiring problem sending the wrong signal to the computer. the fans aren't turning on because its reading a low temp at the computer. on the other hand there are some that work in the opposite way, read high volts at high temps, these aren't as common. then you would have either a bad fan motor, relay or fan circuit wiring problem. get it checked out before you blow a headgasket out.

Simply computer-speak for your car is overheating. The engine computer watches the voltage at a temp sensor. If the voltage is too high, the computer knows the engine is too hot.

Check thermostat, radiator, water pump, hoses, coolant, etc. If fans aren't running, the coolant temp switch that controls fans is burned out. Also check cooling fan fuses, relays, connectors at fans, etc.
