And that many of the games it will play have major glitches? I read about this on AOL and wondered how many folks are selling their old systems thinking this new, 600 ps3 will play them?

Yes, I was aware of that. Thank you for making the people that didn't know aware before they bought it and realized the hard way.

PS3 will not play those old games, people wasted $600 dollars and an extra $60 for a stupid game.

Accually it varies. It can play both ps1 and ps2 games but because of some of the older versions of discs, it may not play them at first. I'm sure that eventually they will come up with either a chip or an upgrade to solve this problem.
