Try getting into your bios (hold F1 during boot ... sometimes it's DEL ... a message should pop up on your screen as the computer is booting to tell you how to enter set-up)

When you get into BIOS select BOOT ORDER and make sure your CD is booted prior to your HD

You provided lots of correct technical element - that facilitates! yet another selection you may attempt is going to count on the motherboard. now and again you may get it as well from CD through deliberately causing a BIOS blunders (like retaining the keyboard down) and then you get a boot menu and choose boot from CD. yet another chance will also nonetheless count on your motherboard, yet in case you may, bypass to a boot gadget decision menu. for example, on a Dell pc, you may hit (i imagine) F8, and it provide you with a menu asking you to manually opt for the boot gadget. i do not understand the specifics depending on the specs that you gave, yet i wish this facilitates.
