It can hurt a lot...but the best thing to do is to simply put medication on it and wait for it to subside on it's own.
If you simply cannot deal with it being there for a few days, you can use this method to subside the pain and the irritation on your face:
Place an ice cube on the pimple for a few seconds.
Take a steralized needle and gently poke pimple until it pops.
Take a clean wash cloth with warm water and press pimple for a few minutes.
After most of the liquid has come out, wash your face thoroughly and apply medication to the area.
You should never touch a popped pimple, or push on it with your fingernails. Underneath your nails are millions of bacteria, which can cause more infection to occur, and just make your pimples worse.

Not a whitehead but do not attempt to pop a cyst. These are large, hard pimples that are not just clogging a pore but go below the surface of the skin.

Sorry to tell you this but it usually does hurt, but it's just for the moment. They hurt more if it's near the nose, or mouth. Besides, it's better for it to hurt a little than to have a whitehead pimple on your face hehe. Oh, and remember to put Hydrogen Peroxide on it so it can be disenfected. Good luck!

Most people don't pop their pimples properly thus they get a scar, the proper way to extract is to use the sides of your first fingers and you apply pressure to the pimple from it's root not the tip like everyone thinks, that only releases the tip, once you pop from the root you will see the white stuff then blood, you must squeeze til you see clear then you have popped it.

when you pop any sort of pimple ( papule/blackhead/whitehead) what happens is that you would be spreading the bacteria to other areas on your face and so the amount of black/white heads will increase as they would go to other parts of your face. ESPECIALLY the whiteheads. becareful not to even touch them or play with them because you might end up popping it by mistake.. so leave it alone. however................. the blackhead can be popped if you use two fingers lightly.. and slowly and make sure you wash your face really well after it.

It all depends on where the pimple is located it it's located near your temple try not to bother it. But if it's located any where else it won't really hurt.

from what i remember when i had a lot of those in my face and in my back, it hurts but no to the point you cant pop a few yourself

It depends but most of the time, yes it hrts at least a little, and when it is really bid, it huts a lot.

That depends on your tolerance for pain.
Also there is this little tool that squeezes white heads or black heads..it is great!
White heads can get infected since they are pretty much bacteria.
