YYES.. u can remove the battery and run on ac only

It is recommended that once the battery is fully charged you must remove the plug. It is also good maintenance practice to extend battery life to drain it completely at least once a month if you are a power user. The previous suggestion is sound that when you wish to continue using the notebook just remove the fully charged battery. I have a couple of HP notebooks which has battery failure before I practice what I recommend but now my batteries have lasted more than 2 years without any trouble. Good luck. Hope I help a little. It's fine. Don't listen to george. Batteries haven't needed conditioning since nicad days.

I always keep mine pluged in and it's dosen't seem to have any damage. So I don't think it would hurt it.

you should occasionaly let it run off battery power to keep the battery healthy
