1. Control your behavior
2. Get your own Computer
3. Failing 1 and 2, note that maintaining privacy in browsing requires attention to several areas. Your internet activity leaves traces in several locations. Using something like the secure shedder tool in Spybot Search and Destroy (shareware), you may clear your temp folder, Internet explore cache files and Internet Explorer cookies. Additionally any file that is downloaded can be permently removed using something like the Shareware Eraser 5.8 that will delete a file and then copy several iterations of random bits over the top of the original file so that it may not be recovered with an undelete utility. Additionally, going into the Tools/Internet Options in your browser to delete history and temporary files/cookies.

However, note that nothing on the internet is free. Warez sites and Porn sites want something back from you and many times they get it in the form of downloaded trojans (not the fun kind), keyloggers and viruses from visiting there site and downloading content. This can expose the family computer to any number of issues including becoming a spambot or them using keyloggers for outright financial and idenity theft. Also note that any responsible parent will likely know something is up because removing tracks many times also remove other history for legitimate browsing that your parents will notice missing.

I reiterate that option 1 is the best solution. My children will find parental control software, internet usage tracking software, router logs and the like, will catch/block/log all of their behavior anyway and encourage them to follow option 1. If you give me your parent email, I will be happy to recommend to them some good software to monitor your behavior :)

Depends on how tech savvy your parents are.

Me, If I thought my kids were downloading stuff, I'd just do a low level binary scan of there harddrive, finding anything that hasn't be DOD wiped.

if you delete a file from your library on limewire, it is deleted from your computer, or if you have it on you desktop or some other place, right click while holding shift and press delete, a backup will not be made
