Neonatal nurse, NICU nurse, nursery of a hospital, childcare provider, regional center worker, special education early interventionist, child advocate, drug endangerment task force- child welfare division, child protective services.... there are all kinds of opportunities- just depends on what kind of work you want to do. Are you interested in working directly with children, or in a supervisory capacity (such as a preschool director)? Do you want to be with brand-new newborns, or a little older babies/toddlers? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children, or be an advocate? It all depends on exactly what you are looking for and how involved you want to be, as well as your personality and abilities.

Photographer..I am a school photographer and I photograph babies at childcare centers and 2-5 year old children at nursery schools. It is such a rewarding job for me because the kids are so fun to be with and they say such funny things! If you want to work with just babies, you can limit your job to that. Its also good because you can do it part time after you have children. You can work for a company or start your own business.
