I hope you meant planet mercury

Planet Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and the eighth largest overall.
It's surface resembles out moon, with lunar-type terrain. This is caused by the intense heat from the proximity of the Sun.
Mercury's orbit is very eccentric, causing strange phenomenons if you were to observe its actions from the surface.
Mercury also has almost no atmosphere, causing eccentric weather conditions as well.
Due to the proximity to the Sun, Mercury (during the day) can rise to over 400 degrees C (750 degrees F), but at night, because of the lack of atmosphere to help retain the heat, Mercury's temperature can drop to an unbelieveable -180 degrees C (-300 degrees F)!
Mercury is very dense (second densest major body in the Solar System).
Mercury's interior is dominated by a large iron core (radius = 1,800 to 1,900 km), which is partailly molten, with its outer shell being just 500 to 600km thick.
The mean surface temperature on Mercury is 179 degrees C.

Hello:

Mercury's orbit around the Sun takes 88 days.

The color of Mercury when viewed by the naked eye appears to be orange in color.

Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun.

The orbit of Mercury around the Sun is elliptical and its distance from the Sun varies from 46 to 70 million Km.

At its brightest, the Planet Mercury has a brightness of Magnitude -1 or more.

Mercury is spinning very slowly. It makes one complete revolution every 59 days.

The surface of Mercury ranges from more than 400 degrees C. in the day to minus 170 degrees C. at night.

There is no atmosphere on Mercury.

Mercury is 50 percent larger than our Moon, and has a diameter of 4880 Km.

The only planet smaller than Mercury is the planet Pluto (term planet now being argued).

The gravity on Mercury is twice that found on the Moon but only 38 percent of that here on Earth.

The surface of our Moon, and the surface of Mercury tend to look about the same. The craters seen on the Moon are deeper, however, than those seen on the planet Mercury.

Mercury has the darkest surface of any planet in our solar system.

Hope this helps,
Zah

Mercury was named by the Romans after the fleet-footed messenger of the gods because it seemed to move more quickly than any other planet. It is the closest planet to the Sun, and second smallest planet in the solar system. Its diameter is 40% smaller than Earth and 40% larger than the Moon. It is even smaller than Jupiter's moon Ganymede and Saturn's moon Titan.

Only liquid metal. makes orange compounds. absorbed through the skin, causes brain and liver damage. Dissolves gold. Used inside fluorescent lights.

Closest planet to the sun. Smallest planet. Very hot. can sometimes be seen at sunset or sunrise. Liquid metal named after it.
