I'd make sure to clearly convey what's going on to each one of them. I'm really not sure what else to suggest. I would also not take anything personally, sometimes people are just......lost.

If its something superficial I usually tell them I do not want to get involve...but if their friendship is at stake -I look at it objectively, and tell both sides my view...and maybe try to save the friendship (I have done it once or twice with the same 2 friends.) but unfortunately there is so much u can do.

Ah, I was in a situation like this before. Not pleasant.
Get these two friends to become friends so that you can all be friends... ? Now I'm confused. ;)

I hate when that happens. I usually try to listen to both sides and try to come up with a solution, that works for both sides.

Get both sides's story and try to help or just tell them I'm not choosing sides so get your problem solved

I ENCOURAGE THEM TO TALK OUT THEIR PROBLEMS AND TRY TO WORK OUT THE DIFFERENCES. THAT IS ALL I CAN DO. I WON'T ALLOW MYSELF TO GET IN BETWEEN THEM AND GET INTO A SCREAMING MATCH.

I tell them that I still like both of them and the fight is between them and please don't ask me to get involved because I won't.
