I'd go back and witness the founders of the United States drafting the Declaration of Independence and ask them specific questions so I could enlighten the world today.

As consistently, reliable previous Wiki has a load of stuff on 1909. It seesm to have been somewhat a 'quiet' 3 hundred and sixty 5 days in trms of ecu and US history. It become a great 3 hundred and sixty 5 days for exploration - Shakleton finding the magnetic South Pole, and Peary become arriving on the North Pole. It become a Halley's Comet 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, and the U. S. military first set up at Pearl Harbour.

If I had any such power, I might also have the power of twisting history a bit. I would then go back to the mid XX when so many mistakes were made: boarders drawn at random on the african map, creation of Israel, partition of Ireland etc... I might then stop the hands who planted those seeds, now flowering in so many conflicts.

The premiere of "King Lear" at the Globe, in 1605-6. See the true mastery of Shakespeare as well as a glimpse of the man himself...
That and a week canoeing in pre Ice Age America. Paddle the rivers and lakes that are now a part of pre-history and observe long gone wildlife.....

I would like to witness the crowning of Queen Elizabeth the first of England. I love history and I love the fact that she ruled England better than any king that came before her. I would have loved to have met her or at least caught a glimps of her.

The abolition of slavery , from that date the human race began to understand itself it still has a long way to go, with backward societys hanging on to there medieval past. but slowly that will be eradicated with education which they cannot stop no matter how hard they try. natural progression is a human trait

The creation of the world, because i think it would be amazing to see our planet form out of nothing into the beautiful creation it is today. I want to know what was going on in God's mind, I want to know why he created things in the order that he did, and why out of the vastness of space he chose the Milky Way to be the home of such an extraordinary planet as ours.
God Bless!!

1485 Battle of Bosworth. Because I want to know exactly what action, if any, Northumberland took. Also the committment of "Stanley " would be interesting to witness "live"...and were both Rich.3 and Henry Tudor both wearing Royal surcoats on their armour? Some authorities say that they both did; if so how much confusion did this cause?

That's a hard one. There are so many things.
I'd like to witness the birth of Jesus Christ. And to talk to him while he was living, hear him speak His word. I'd like to see his crucifiction, to see how he died for our sins.
I'd like to see the Jamestown settlement. The first successful English colony in the New World.
I'd like witness the Boston Massacre (March 5, 1770), Boston Tea Party (December 16, 1773), and the first shots of the American Revolution (April 15, 1775). I'd like to see who was responsible for the Shot Heard 'Round the World!
I'd like to meet George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Possibly John and Abigail Adams. Martha Washington, too.
I'd like to go to the day when the Confederates surrendered during the Civil War. I'd like to see the assassination of Lincoln.
I'd like to see the end of World War II. (1945... but I don't know when VJ and VE Days are)
I would want to see the assassination of JFK. I'm not a conspirator, but I actually do believe those conspiracies. I'd want to see if I could see who REALLY did it!
I'd like to go back in time and prevent Bush from stealing the election of 2000.
