Ok, I'm looking to spend the least amount of money as every shopper tries! I noticed that "i books" G3 (I believe) are relatively cheap...about 300 or 400 dollars. But i also happen to notice that the macbooks are much more expensive. Now, I want to know if there is a site that I can check out refurbished apple notebooks because I do plan on buying it pre-owned. Any information will be helpful...thanks!!

Here are a few sites that you can try:

http://www.welovemacs.com/power-macintosh.html
http://www.powermax.com/
http://www.lovemacs.com/store/lovemacs/index.php

Hope you find what you are looking for.

G3 ibooks are terrible computers . My company replaced every one of them after half failed withing the first year. We gave the remaining good ones to employees and most of them went bad. And they're extremely slow compared to the cheapest $600 Dell laptop you can buy.
OS X is a great system, but Apple hardware is greatly overrated.
The new Macbooks aren't cheap, but they're a major improvement over the old stuff. Intel was the best move Apple ever made.

Just go on Apples main site. www.apple.com click on the "store" tab on top, then look for the "refurbished MAC" on the left. Thats wher I got my Ibook G4. It is a 15" with a 16X dvd burner plus more. Paid $1000 for it and it comes with the same warranty as a new Ibook. I have been using it for a year now and it is the best laptop I have ever owned. Good luck, go with a MAC ;)
