Rock Music??

Question

so i am getting into to rock alot alot alot!! i dont care for punk but alternitive is ok. i like a good beat heavy metal is ok but no screamo. I want you people to help me with some good band names i hate metalica and i like tool so ya HELP ME I NEED MORE MUSIC lol

Start out with the older stuff and work your way forward to gain experience in how everything started off. It'll let you see how who influenced who and how we got to modern Rock.

Start with CCR (Clearwater Creedance Revival), then the Rolling Stones, Beatles, Yes, Rush, Bob Dylan, and Cream.

Once you're done listening to those bands start with the 70's stuff like Led Zeppelin, Boston, Steve Miller (Band), Carlos Santana, Pink Floyd, Ramones, Motörhead and then AC/DC (their first bug album was in '78 with "High Voltage").

Then go into the early 80's with Van Halen, Dire Straits, Bon Jovi, ZZ Top, KISS, Poison, Queen and GNR. This will get you ready for modern music.

Once you're done with the 80's music go to the 90's with REM, Hootie and the Blowfish, Blink 182, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and others that you'll find along the way.

That'll set you up for this decade with Papa Roach, AAR, FOB, P!ATD and the rest of the stuff you find on MTV 24/7.

If you like Tool, you should check out A Perfect Circle. Other bands that are cool are: Korn, Rob Zombie, Black Label Society, Audioslave, Pink Floyd, Pearl Jam, The Killers, Beck, Blue October, Incubus, and of course Ozzy.

My boyfriend loves Tool, you should try Smashing Pumpkins (Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is their best album), Faith No More, A Perfect Circle, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Regurgitator (anything from the late nineties onwards sucks tho), Pearl Jam, and Radiohead (start with the album OK Computer and go from there). Also try The Cure and The Smiths, they're from the 80's but they're awesome.

I choose classic Rock and have faith it or no longer obtained a style for Hip Hop and option. no longer too undesirable for an older guy. I won't say I hate u . s . a . even regardless of the undeniable fact that this is on the backside of my record.
