~~~I have three nice Mexican Heather plants out on my front porch,,,when I watered them I noticed these teeny very tiny knats flying out of the plant, is there any natural non chemical way I can get rid of them,??,,the plants look very healthy , just bought them about a month ago.

mix a little bit of dishsoap with some water when you water your plant and that will take care of the little boogers.
I had this happen to me a couple of weeks ago and got lots of responses. You can go ahead and check out the other answers I got, but this one worked best for me.

Probably fungus gnats. Dry the soil out until the plant is stressed. That will kill the larvae. Rick.
