Seriously, the best way is to stop worrying about what everyone else thinks about you, be yourself, do your best and what you do, and the rest will happen. Probably quicker than you think. If you are consumed with how people see you your self confidence will never grow because any "shot" they may take at you will tear you down. Look at who you are and be who you are.

I have the same problem and i have thoroughly researched every possible answer for this. I have done hypnotherapy and all sorts but i seriously believe that making yourself do extra things like practice at presentations or talk to people you dont know more....practicing makes you better at something so i think its best to give yourself that extra push. It always helps to know what ur talking about as well or if talking to people is where ur confidence lacks then try to just go with the flow.

i used to lack self confidence more than anyone in my school..now i am outgoing and energetic. heres how.
read the book 7 healthy habits by stephen cooney...it helps A LOT.
Also, try several exercises out everyday..
like tomorrow set a goal. everytime you look at yourself in the mirror name 3 things that look great about you. -its hard at first but after a while you will feel better!! also, dare yourself to go sit with a different group at lunch or raise your hand in class more often-that helps a lot too.
also..think about this.
i dony really know what you believe about god, and life and all. but put it this way. your gunna die. im gunna die. everyone you know is going to die. (you know) and if your going to die no matter what....everything that happens on earth does not really matter. what matters is that you enjoy life and live it to its fullest and have a good time.-easier said than done. but everytime you clam up or feel like you are lacking self confidence. think whats the worst thing thats going to happen if i do/say this. because in the bnig scheme of things-it doesnt really make a huge impact.
just go out there and have a good time!!
(read the bible..i guarentee it will help!- if it doesnt then it is full proof that God doesnt exist.)

Well snowball, try taking up a martial art. Other than the "i can kick everyones head in" confidence they are really social places and they nothing better to build your confidence like sparring with a person you ve never met

Positive affrimations, self belief. Whenever the voice in your head says something negative, turn it around to something positive or just go on to another thought. Also ask your friends and family to make a list of the things you're good at or the best qualities they think you have.

Test yourself, face your fears everyday. This will leave you feeling pretty good about yourself and not just only willing but actively eager to face situations you wouldnt normally have the balls to face. Just dont blow it by becoming over confident and arrogant, cos someone will be sure to knock you back down to where you started
