Googling a close/not-so-close friend/family to find out what he's up to/find his secret blog/know he's commenting on which boards about which topics, etc. What do you think?

Nah, not obsessed. Like I said, just curious. What type of freak would do that every day?! I'd rather start a blog ^_^

Its not really wrong, but it could be considered stalking if it consumes you. I know that girls always do this type of thing when they like a boy.... so I see no harm in doing it for a friend,
but make sure that you dont become obsessed about it.

it depends on what your purpose in knowing this is, and how obsessive you are about it.
