My mum used to tuck me in and say "Nun night, God bless" and we are certainly not religious - I guess my nan used to say it to my mum when she was a little girl.
I tell my kids I love them sooooo much and that they are the most important, special people in the world and how much they mean to me. It sounds very OTT, but its a good time, when my kids are settled and calm, and its the words they go to sleep on so its important that that's what they think about!!!

My daughter says 'night night, love you to the moon and back, infinity and beyond' and I say it back! The moon and back bit came from a book called 'Guess How Much I Love You' and the infinity and beyond was from Toy Story. She's 15 now and has been saying it since she was tiny.

My mom still says, "Love you, see you in the morning." when I was little, I used to tuck me dad in for his naps and as I was leaving the room i would always say "Be a good boy, now!" It seems like forever ago... tear...

my mum used to say to me, night night, sleep tight, mind the bed bugs don't bite. I say the same to my daughter, then give her a hug and goodnight kiss before saying too her, 'I love you, see you when you wake.'

When I was younger they use to read me a bedtime story until I fell asleep. As I got older they didn't say anything.

Night night put out the light and don't let me hear you fighting!
