I dont think that there is much popular support for legalizing it, other things are occupying people's minds. There is a core group that is vocal and powerful and against legalization, which will probably be enough to keep it that way. I think that it should be legalized and regulated as tobacco and alcohol is, sure, some people are gonna abuse it, but probably no one who wouldnt do so anyway.

People thought it would be legal soon back in the 1960s; although, voting on the matter is getting closer to the 50-50. If the government can regulate it and find a way to tax it, then it will be legal.

Never. The average person can grow it in his or her back yard so it would be to hard for the government to track and tax.

I do agree that it should be legal.Besides driving under the influence of marijuanna, there is not one documented death from it. Anyone who believes it causes cancer, believes a myth.

i just saw and that is question number five in the voting for the goverments. They said it should not be legalized because then hotels and casino's would have to much smoke and alchohol.

It should be, but it won't be, at least for casual use. I do see a time when medicinal use is legal. I do agree it could be a large income generator for the government, just as tobacco and liquor taxes, but that usually isn't enough.

I doubt it, however its pretty much like its legal in Vancouver!! It is is Amsterdam right? So why not here? Its no worse than tobacco or alcohol! Its the Crack, coke, extasy and heroin that we need to be concerned about.

i dont know if it will be legalized, though i know that there are very vocal groups that both support and disagree w/ legalizing it. I think it should be legalized, as it has less harmfull effects than any legal drug.

I think it should not only be legalized but freed. It's a plant. Just a plant. It should be free and legal.
