Power, control, because you allow it. Protest is a right of every citizen, just like all our other rights it must be demanded, protected, and peacefully asserted. If you are truly interested in protecting your rights, formulate a plan to change your school policy. Start a club or student rights organization, get someone on the debate team to enter a question regarding student rights, print up bumper stickers. Find out which teachers might be sympathetic to your cause ask them for suggestions, just remember, there is strength in numbers; do not isolate yourself and always be reasonable and positive, it will draw people to your arguments. Good Luck!

Do u think protest is the way to settle things?
Protest in school will affect learning evironment and affect other students also.
If u have anything not satify about, just tell your teacher or talk to principal to understand the reason behind why they do this and that.
If they really have the very good reason, pls consider and try to understand.
If no valid reason, try to persuade them with your good reason. I'm sure that they will accept too.
After all, Protest will only make things worse because no good communication at all.

Because, as someone stated, the purpose of school is learning. Generally we have the right, and I'm sure you can do some protesting before or after school, at least somewhere, but during school hours schools have the responsibility to protect students and create a learning environment.

No! because of the fact you and that i've got the main appropriate to protest, it relatively is no longer appropriate what you prefer to protest, you have the main appropriate to do it. as for blocking off you way, nicely you're only being egocentric. i recommend why did it hassle you plenty? you will desire to no longer walk yet another path? possibly you have shown some soldarity and only smiled and waved on the protesters (because of the fact it became an afternoon of silence) and went on your way. call calling is only as undesirable as hitting. emotional scars do no longer heal like actual ones do. as for you being comfortable with gays as long as they do no longer communicate approximately it or protest for his or her righst, that's like asserting which you probably did no longer very own slaves, yet your neighbor did and you probably did no longer arise for his or her rights. no as for being in college, nicely i think of that protests in college are not the perfect theory, yet they do have the main appropriate to protest. if the gays can no longer protest then no one would desire to have the potential to, and that i think of that no-one would desire to have the potential to in college. no longer on the grounds that's a place the place you draw close with acquaintances, yet on the grounds that's a place for discovering. that suggested, protesting teaches plenty. yet nevertheless i agree that college is the incorrect place for protests, no longer because of the fact you would be made relaxing of, yet because of the fact there is plenty greater to existence than being gay and you will desire to truly learn historic past and math. additionally, wasn't that like a month in the past? why are you nevertheless disillusioned approximately it?
