For the same reason babies do. Because, these words are used with special vigor and spice and sound "funny" or "forceful". They are 4 letter words typically and for that reason easy to remember. Most of them are one syllable and staccato and are "fun" to say.
Plus, Americans swear too much.

because those are the ones they hear repeated all the time everywhere they go..it's called Pavlov's something... basically, keep repeating something to a person and they'll soon start saying it... but Pavlov dealt with dogs I believe
