Yes they can be wrong. A blood test is more acurate but even that can be wrong too.

a positive test is not always right. i had a best friend of mine that had took a home pregnancy test and it said it was positive so a couple days latter we went to the hospt. to take and test and it came back negative. the test you take can sometime be wrong i would go see a Dr. though if the test was positive just to be sure

They can be wrong, but its exceedingly rare, it's much more likely to have a false negative. If you've tested positive and think it's an error, test again with another brand of test. 2 positive results from 2 different tests would be nil. I would contact your doctor in any case and make an appointment to settle things, either to start your prenatal care or to find out why you test positive when you are not pregnant.

More then likely they are right. The only time they would be right and then wrong is when you test to early and then have a miscarriage. It is hard to get a positive and not be pregnant. But it is easy to get a false negative. A lot of time's it is testing to early or having the stick in the urine to long.

Positive tests are right, negative tests can be false. The test detects the hormone that exists only when a woman is pregnant, so if it's there she is, that's all there is to it.
