Is Mariah Carey black or white?

She looks white, but black at the same time.
I can't tell WHAT she is.

For some reason I'm leaning towards black because of her features, but her skin is white.

Both! She is biracial, her mother is Irish and her father is African American/Venezuelan. Even though she was raised by her mother, she considers herself as a black women. Mariah Carey is one example of a black person with really light skin, but African American people comes in many shades.
