What's the point?
You cannot change a peron who has been hurting your heart. You cannot change who they are, and their intentions.
I cannot make this decision for you. If you firmly believe that this girl/guy has got their head on straight and you trust they won't break your heart again, please consider it.
But if not, if they are the same person and come up with a lousy excuse like "I just had a bad night", please don't. I see this happen everyday. People get hurt because they make stupid mistakes. For the sake of your own heart, keep your eyes open.

Yes, but then it depends on why the other person needs a second chance in the first place. If it is because of cheating and that person swears that it is over and is truely sorry for there mistake. I would try giving them a second chance expecially if kids a involed. (I think that it is always better for kids to have both parents around.) But they would definately have to prove they were loyal to me and would have to build there trust back. They would have to understand that and that it could take a long time. But just remember that it takes 2 to make a relationship work.

Are you asking if its ok to give the one that broke heart a second chance? If so, it depends on whether you feel that it will happen again, if it was that person being unfaithful, take it from me, it's the hardest thing to do but fortunately it worked, we have been back together for almost 10 years, it can work. Best wishes

Breaking a heart can be repaired, only if what broke it in the first place is never done again. We all are human and make mistakes, but to be sincere about an apology, is to also never repeat the pain inflicted again...........

Sure, there are always going to be people who ride the road of love on the short bus. These people are the ones that get hurt time and time again because they just can not learn. how many times have you heard this " I just found out he/she has been sleeping with 13 other people but he/she says they really love me and it will never happen again, should I stop paying for his/her housing, food, car, gas" DUH...Go ask the other people on the short bus cus they are the only ones that are going to tell you what you want to hear.

No, I don't give anyone a second chance. The old saying, "Fool me once - shame on you! Fool me twice - shame on ME!" comes to mind. I don't give anyone another chance to hurt me.

Once you become a raisin, you can never be a grape again.
The biggest part of the euphoric feeling of love is the trust you have with that person. Once they phuck that up, it'll never be the same.
