Yes!
You should ALWAYS buy a warranty for any new electronics, especially for a game system
like the Wii. New electronics have a high chance of having glitches, in the rush to meet the release date. Some technical errors have already been found in the PS3, such as not being able to play some of the PS2 games as it should.
Purchasing a warranty may protect you from these problems. Read the warranty agreement carefully. Some may include a free repair or replacement that may well be worth it.
However, if you feel like taking a chance then go ahead!

All the points listed above are good reasons not to get the extra warranty but also consider that Nintendo WILL back up their product with a manufacture’s warranty and possible recalls they might need in the future. They just recently replaced my Nintendo DS that had a minor… minor issue, while paying for my expedited shipping, absolutely for free because of their customer service, which was great by the way. I’d only recommend warranty if it covers accidents and if you feel like an accident is possible because of kids, space issues, etc.
