Let's say Michigan barely loses this weekend and that USC, Florida, and Notre Dame all win. Do you keep Michigan at #2 or how far would you drop them?

It is No.2 getting beat by a No.1 team. The odds it will still remain in the top ten and if not 5 or 7. It is late in the season to drop out of the top ten, but it would shift at least four or more spots.

barely lose?

okay, if michigan loses by 3 in triple overtime, then i'd keep them at #2. if they lose in regulation, and if USC beats cal by more than 10 points, i'd have to drop michigan down to #3.

they won't go down far because:

1. they were playing AT ohio state for crying out loud
2. florida plays a division 2 team this week
3. notre dame is practically playing a division 2 team as well

if florida and notre dame win their games by, let's say....100 points, then i'd move them up ahead of michigan.

if usc florida and nd all win and michigan loses, then usc #2, florida #3 michigan #4 and nd #5. i wouldnt agree with how the top five has gotten here, but with what is already done that is what I would guess

If they lose by 2 or 3 points to OSU, i think they should only drop to 3, but with the messed up rankings, they could drop even more. If Michigan gets manhandled, they WILL drop out of the top 5 and maybe even 8. But i don't think they'll get beaten that badly.

They will probably be #3 if it is real close. If it is a blow out maybe 5 or 6.

The voters won't put them at #2 because they don't want a rematch and it breaks tradition. If you lose a game you fall it is the way it always works. Even if you lose on a controversial call.

i'd drop mich to #3 and put rutgers at 2.. (i think the two undefeated deserve the top 2 slots)

4 southern cal, 5 florida

i'd also rank arkansas and wake above notre.. they have a tougher schedule and have dominated many good teams..

Notre has a very weak schedule this year, yet they have struggled to beat many of these teams they played..

I don't want to see a rematch of that game to be the National Championship game, so I would drop them to #3.

I can't see the loser of the game dropping any lower than 5

I'd drop them to #99 and send them to the toilet bowl.
