After the child is born, do not sign the birth certificate until you have a paternity test done. It's very simple, they just swap yours & baby's mouth. Another way you may have an idea is the baby's blood type, which they find out right after birth - if the baby doesn't have your wife's or your blood type, that's a sure sign it's not yours. If you sign the birth certificate (even if you are not the father), you will have to pay child support if you & your wife separate. You don't have to name the baby right away, you can wait until the test comes back. This could be your baby though, sometimes the dates can be off by around two weeks.

I'm sorry that that happened to you. Since you and her are married, she has to give the child your last name, but you dont have to sign the birth certificate. Some hospitals will do a paternity test while her and the child are still in the hospital at no charge. Just find out to make sure. Good luck to you!!!

You could very well be the father of this child. The dates you provided sounds like she's right on time. Please don't accuse your wife unless you know that she's cheating or cheated for sure. If this is really bothering, take that paternity test, but I still believe that the baby could very well be yours.

those dates are right. ur the father. the doc starts counting from the first day of the last period, which would have been jun 20th or thereabouts. so even tho it's 19 weeks since u had sex, she's 21 weeks pregnant. i dont think she cheated.

Umm, I got pregnant on July 5th, and Im 21 weeks and Im due March 26th. She is not cheating on you. Geez. You need to trust your wife a little more. It goes according to her last period...My last period was June 21st...That is when they start calculating it. So for the first 2 weeks of the DR calculations she isnt pregnant..but they count that as the beginning of the pregnancy... You need to talk to the doctor so he can explain it to you so you can understand before you start accusing your wife of somehting that bad.

Doctors go by the date of your last period not when a woman actually conceives her baby so she actually probably did conceive around July 5th. You could very well be the father.

I think if you are not sure about you being the baby's father you shouldn't stay with her first and once the baby is born do the paternity test

You can get the blood type of the child and you can determine immediately if it is yours.

So WHY not be the Daddy?
