Actually according to my doctor's office yes. They gave me a panflet that has a lot of common things that women experience like head aches. heart burn, constipation, and the medicines (and natural alternatives) you CAN take while pregnant. for constipation it says:

Medicines- Citrucel, metamucil, senokot, pericolace, fibercon.
Alternatives- Increase fluid intake, Increase fiber intake, decaffinated tea, 4 oz warm prune juice followed by 1 cup of decaffinated tea, and exercise (walking counts)

I hope that helps you.

So yeah this is gonna be gross but oh well... When I was pregnant I had bloody stools and my butt would bleed and stuff. I was suspecting hemroids but I went to my ob for it and she couldnt find anything wrong but she prescribed stool softners and citrucel. So it's safe. YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED WHAT YOU CAN TAKE WHILE PREGNANT.
