A gorilla is a great ape and a close relative of man.

Money is a means of payment.

So they're not really related at all - unless you use a lot of money to buy a gorilla from someone.

It is rather hard to cash a silverback gorilla as opposed to a silver certificate bank note, not to mention trying to stuff an 800-pound gorilla in the till.
