As opposed to what? I don't really want to live any where I can't be free to make choices even wrong ones for myself. However, I do think that the problem isn't necessarily the choices one has to pick from but the accuracy of the information one is given about the choices. Quite simply you want more people to make the right choice (if you can accurately determine which choice is the right one) show them how each choice will affect them in the long run. Now finding how to accomplish that is going to be the hard part. If there isn't one right choice then why shouldn't they have their pick; it isn't like they can get it wrong or that it matters if they do.

I believe choices are a good thing; choices help you prepare for a lot of things in life. Choices is balance. We're being selfish and what is best for us everytime we make a choice. We as humans are selfish either the righteous or unrighteous sense: We're all selfish one way or another, when we treat people as though they were us and accept them as who they are, that's righteous selfishness and the way humankind should be but when we have no regard for anyone else and treat others differently than the way you'd like to be treated that unrighteous selfishness.
For everything there are opposites. Opposites attract merely because one thing is of coincidence that they meet substantial goal. Rights will be met with wrongs and rights will seek out wrongs. Balance is the neutral point.
Life is about choices and making the right ones but when you don't make the right one, there's always another chance for you to make the right one.
There is never a compromise because you've got to think of what's best for you or those around you.

With every freedom comes responsibility and consequences. Having a choice enables one to choose from various options. The outcome of such choice may have a consequence and the responsibility of taking care of that consequence will be in hand of the chooser.

For people who has enough intelligence to make a wise choice and have the means and the "smarts" to deal with the responsibility and consequences, it is a good thing. For others, it is not.

The answer depends on which group you belong.

Hell yes! I like choice. Or the illusion that I have a choice. Which might just be the same thing. If everything was predestined how would I know? It might be predestined that I think I have choice when in fact I have none.

Chocolate or coffee. Red wine or beer. Yup. Choice is good and ignorance is bliss.

Good question, i will try to answer it by giving you an example

If i have a choice between 2 things and i have the information about the 2 then it is more likely i will make the right choice. However, If i have to make a choice between 100 things and i don't have the right information then it is more likely i will make a bad choice.
So to answer your question; It depends

It's a Fantastic!!! thing to choose when u do not put I, ME, and MYSELF.Life is full of choices so it is worth while take time and make them which will not only serve your own purpose but others too!!! We are all too busy trying to grab what is good for us (keeping the I,ME,My factor in mind)but most of the time what is good for me may not be good for others, then u will have to pause and make your choice!!!!When u make a good choice u will know it because then there is peace around you. We don't live to satisfy ourselves or do we?????

Only if it is exercised in a reasonable, responsible and productive manner. Choice that is exercised in an irresponsible and selfish manner is bad for everyone. Contrary to the beliefs of many, choice should not be without reasonable limits and consequences, or it produces chaos and negative consequences - for the life of the individual making the choice as well as for society in general.

in general terms, yes because if we didn't have choice, then people would end up doing the same things, saying the same words, buying the same brand of shampoo, etc. and it would get rather repetitive, tedious and we'd get bored of going through the same routine. imagine doing the same old things and reliving the same day over and over again.... it would be just like that film, groundhog day! choice to us means more opportunities, selections, other alternatives which are made available and open to all of us. it also means that for us people, we become our own individuals ourselves by means of not doing what everyone else is doing for the sake of say, hype and popularity and one being better or popular than the other.

therefore, i'd say the more choices, the better for all of us

Yes. Choice is good. We went through a period worrying that we (especially children) could not cope with a superabundance of choice. It seems to me nowadays that we have become accustomed to choice and we are dealing with it without too many problems.
My main problem is what club to use at 150 yards from green. And I get it right sometimes.

speaking from a religious aspect, the Bible depicts choice, or free will, as a bad thing. Satan was once the greatest angel in all of heaven, but he was granted free will, and betrayed God and refused his ways, which is an action that no other angel could have committed (or no other of the two thirds that were not given free will). Then again, it could just be saying that it's bad to disobey God's commands; it all depends on the interpretation of the individual.

Choice allows us to do good and bad things; but the choice to do either good or bad is up to us. It is a compromise. This reminds me of a passage from the Dead Sea Scrolls:

"[God] has created man...and has appointed for him two spirits in which to walk until the time of His visitation: the sprits of truth and falsehoods..."

Which spirit will you walk in? The choice is up to the individual.
