I am sorry but none of your answres know what they are talking about.

Voting laws in the US are done at the state level. And yes in the US there are a couple of states that allow current inmates to vote.

Others states take that right away but give it back after a few years. In other states a convicted felon can never vote.

So the answer is yes in some places.

That's all mostly true, but it varies by state. Some states allow felons to vote after a certain number of years--this may be after conviction, not just incarceration. Plus, there are people who are at certain facilities (generally not "prisons,") who are pretrial detainees, not yet convicted, who would have the right to vote.

P.S. voting is not a "privilege," it's a "right." The reason that felons cannot vote (i.e. the RIGHT has been removed) is because it was deprived pursuant to due process of law... a criminal charge and conviction.)

In Britain, you can vote if you are in prison on remand, but not if you are there after being sentenced to a stretch.

I will not say whether this is right or wrong, as the question does not ask that.

I think those that are in jail are. I do not think that most states allow felons in a prison setting to vote.

No, they're not. In prison, you lose your civil rights, and one of those rights is the right to vote.

No they are not. Due to being in prison doesn't allow them much priviledges as being on the outside.
