A blessing is in the eye of the beholder. I would guess that most people would not consider having a heart attack a blessing, but 2 1/2 years ago I had a heart at the age of 26. While I was overweight (6'0" 265 lbs), I have done more to make my life healthy, appreciate my friends and family more, and become much more active and faithful in my church.

It all depends on what you consider a blessing and what you do with that situation.

Almost everything but certain illness and health problems are controlled or influenced by people. No one can stop natural disasters though planning for one, insurance and knowing what it is like in your area can help ease that burden. However, the reason some people seem to be blessed or lucky is really about society/national systems which since those systems are made of humans are indeed completely controlled or influenced by people. The world we are born in we may have no control over but there are many things we can try to change about it. The more people who want a similar change and have a solid plan and a very strong will the more likely you are to influence a change. Also, genetics plays a role when two people meet the genes they give are a combination of themselves the good and the bad and that can influence appearance and health. The child in that case has no control of the parent's choice of partner. Like I said though you can't help where you are born, parents genes, etc. that isn't about being blessed it is about being lucky. The main problem with people living bad lives is the system they live in and the resources that are available and there isn't a society/country that exist today that doesn't need an overhaul in what is considered important/valuable and how everyone is treated which would change to where the other problems that are random could be dealt with more easily.

Based on the 10th dimension theory by physicist, there are inifinite possible paths (possibilities) that branch off at any point of time in our lives. The factors that determine which paths to branch off include our individual choice, chance, and actions of others. Therefore, although there are such thing as choice and consequences, I think the resultingn consequences are not definite. Chance can affect the result also. So there are some people who do bad things and are still "blessed."

Similarly, there are people who do charity and other wonderful actions and yet they are always seem to be cursed. You see, the higher being/forces that determine our lives do not see such unfortune as the unfortune that we human see. The higher being/forces can understand exactly how we lower being feel, but the higher being/forces see pass our earthly values.

Like someone said above, blessing is in the eye of the beholder. When you can see pass everything, whether good or bad, then you will be able to understand our world.

If you believe in reincarnation then some of the things make more sense. In that context- what a person did in a past life determines their fortune in the next one. Like if Atilla the Hun was reincarnated, he probably wouldn't have any luck or reach the happiness that some people seem to due to what he'd done before.
If you don't believe in reincarnation, try karma. What you do to others does eventually return to you. Although its hard to see when good people get their lives ruined and the greedy and powerhungry rise up the ladder without a problem.
Sometimes there is no way to explain it. Sometimes its just the luck of the draw and, though it may not seem fair at the time, every cloud does have a silver lining...no matter how small.

That may appear that way when you measure based on comparisons to an image. In other words, we have little leeway and tolerance on human characteristics. A nose that is 1" longer than normal, a person who is 10% taller or shorter than "normal", someone who has thin hair or big ears. When we compare to the so-called ideal, most people appear not to be blessed.

Does having a tight tanned body, blonde hair, blue eyes, white teeth, etc really make someone better than another who is not "blessed " with those things. Not in a hurricane it doesn't.

it will be really some issues. that's likewise individual circumstances. there is not one answer for this question. For some it would nicely be well being causes or emotional judgements. yet frequently (not continually) that's a call decision. We make possibilities and the struggles can come quickly or be a trickle down result...drugs, alcohol, abusive relationships, being pregnant, chucking up the sponge college, etc. although the most to the struggles is to discover the source of the position it all started and %. your self back up and make it better. that's how we take care of the struggles that are the most to the repeated blunders or consistent struggles. advantages are a similar. will we bless others? Did our households coach us about advantages and giving? there are such lots of equations to this question. all of us journey undesirable cases. How we react is the most!

Well your question really brings to light the endless debate of whether or not you believe that there is a Being (i.e. God) that is "blessing" some and not others.

Personally I believe that there is a God but I do not believe that he blesses any of us. I believe that ones life is a sum of what you make it. We as a species forget that we have been give free will and that free will that comes with a great deal of responsibility.

Unfortunately, in my experience, it is easier for those around me to blame a supreme being for their misfortune rather than to take a hard look st the choices they have made and own up to them.

Often times people create their own reality. I know some people seem blessed, but it's because they seem content and happy even in the face of uncontrollable adversity. Some people may choose to get depressed and get into a downward spiral that makes their life seem bad. But the positive people take it in stride and still seem happy with life. That's the secret.

Much like happiness, it comes from within, Some can find
Gods blessings in the worst of circumstances. And a door open out poverty, and prosper. I am learning to give glory and Praise to God in all circumstances of life, in some there are things for me to learn, in others for me to prosper, financially or spiritually. And all are there for some purpose not always known or understood by me. Others, I find that negativity in them seems to close the door to any possibilities, that may be there, but they do not see. That is my way of looking at it.

that is the fate of the world. You can choose to make your life better and strive to reach the good aspects of living. But if you refuse to strive so, and do not try to reach beyond the darkness of your life, and if you accept the darkness around you, then you might as well have already died; you would have lost the battle of life.
