We all want peace on earth, but what does it mean, really? What is the practical reality of a peaceful world? What does it look like in your opinion?

All people having the ability to live together in harmony, solving problems without resorting to violence, no reason for resentments, anger, bitterness, jealousy or serious competition. A world where everyone reaches out to help others without having any ulterior motives. Mothers, fathers and children remaining together and lovingly taking care of and supporting each other. There would be no crime because there would be no reason for it. We wouldn't need locks or keys because we would dwell within an honest society. There would be no abuse of any kind and all people would obey the Word of the Lord, and evil would be totally non-existent. No one would be homeless or friendless and there would be no such thing as fear or worry.
Etc. , etc., etc.

Everyone understanding that what you do to or for another person, you really do to or for yourself. Tolerance, non-judgemental, caring for others as much as yourself, leading the misguided or ignorant to understanding and enlightnement. Teaching rather than punishing. Allowing rather than forbiding. Sharing rather than hoarding.

Peace can only come from within each of us, it will never ever be forced on a country, region, community, or even an individual, since use of force in any respect negates the concept of peace.

It could happen. As Gahndi said: be the change you wish to see in the world. So, go and "Be Peace"

Namaste!

I like this one that Robin Williams describes.

Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan... what we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message. (Hard to argue with this logic!)

I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan:

1. The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, Noriega, Milosovich and the rest of those 'good ole boys.' We will never "interfere" again.

2. We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station our troops at all US borders. No more will anyone sneak through holes in the fence.

3. All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported to France immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France should welcome them.

4. All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers who won't speak English.

5. No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, or they get a "D" and it's back home baby! Never to Return.

6. The US will make a strong effort to become self -sufficient energy wise. This will include developing non-polluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7. Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go some place else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up their storage sites would be enough.)

8. If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

9. Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island some place! We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10. All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer.

Now, ain't that a winner of a plan.

The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, “You want a piece of me?”

A peaceful world. Acceptance of everyone. No pollution- no useless or destructive technology- no lies- no pullution. I actually view it in a very naturelike way. For example, animals. U might think- animals aren't peaceful, they hurt each other, they kill, yada yada, yes, but they do so for survival not entertainment needs and selfishness. Peace is nature. Survival. Acceptance. Beauty. All mixed together and topped with love :-)

Parents being able to let their children play outside without fear... People being able to trust one another. We constantly live in fear, because there is a lot of evil around us.. that equals stress as well, which is probably another reason many of us suffer from anxiety and depression issues.
I wish, as this old corny saying goes....we could all get along. Seriously...we teach our young kids to play well with others, and that violence doesn't count..yet our country has been attacked and has to defend itself in war... I wish there could be a peaceful world

if you get rid of the false ego inside, there is peace for you personally. without any further conditions. and to get practical: it should be a world without money. as long as there is money, the chance of getting peace on earth is very very small, because greed will make people compete for more and more of it.
and that is a quite useless kind of thing to do.

Even the bible will inform you that the international seriously is not at peace. "there'll be wars and rumors of wars". i won't be able to replace it as an insignificant human being. yet all of us can pray, desire, and characteristic faith in God to grant us peace by his son Jesus. flow decrease back to the bible. commence church again. purely save interpreting his observe, the further you study the further you study and starvation for more and more, it really is once you recognize God is able to grant you all the peace you want. do not provide up. save on pushing.
