A large healthy horse would have almost no predators except man. Lions and tigers and wolves normally try to eat animals that are old and weak or injured or sick. They want to reduce the chances of being killed or injured by their prey. Lions are sometimes killed by the animals they eat like zebras. Where my grandparents live there are wolves. I have seen wolves walking around the cows and I have never seen a cow that was attacked by a wolf. His neighbors cows are all skinny and sick because they over graze the pasture. His neighbors are always having trouble with wolves.

Lions and humans.
Back during the last ice age, when there were wild horses in North America, it's likely that wolves, dire wolves, and sabre-toothed cats also ate horses. And, of course, the grizzly bear and cave bear would eat just about anything that would hold still long enough to be eaten.

Cougars are about the only North American animal that would be a threat to horses. And even a cougar would have to be awfully hungry before it would take on a healthy adult horse. But they will certainly take down a young or disabled horse.

Depends where you live. In the United States, a healthy adult horse can be preyed on by Timber wolves, brown and black bears, cougars, and jaguars (only in the southern extreme of the US). If you go up to the Arctic, polar bears could kill them but I know of no account where that happened. Alligators might prey on them, but they mostly prefer smaller animals. Europe has only gray wolves and brown bears that will present a threat to any adult horse and both these creatures are rare on the continent. Asia has more predators to contend with. In the north, gray wolves, brown bears, Siberian tigers, and Manurcha Leopards are all potential predators. Going south, dholes might attack an adult horse as well as a pack of striped hyeanas. Crocodiles will prey on them in the southern part of the range. Bengal tigers will kill them, but they will often prefer cattle to horses. In Australia, the only two predators to watch out for are a pack of dingos (who might very rarely take down an adult horse) and Saltwater crocodiles. Africa has a lot of predators: lions, leopards, spotted and striped hyeanas, Cape African wild dogs, Nile crocodiles, and possibly even a pair of cheetahs. Most of these predators do not normally prey on domestic horses owned by humans, but they are optomistic and can be a threat to an adult horse. I did hear rumors of an adult anaconda swallowing an adult horse once, but I still do not know if it is fact of folklore. An anaconda that reaches a length over 30 feet could be a threat, but those lengths are rare these days. Of course, colts are more prone to predators, so keep an eye out for them.
