when a boy know that a girl like them and then they started to be mean to them?

I know what you mean. Sometimes it is because he KNOWS she likes him and he knows he can treat her anykind of way because he knows he can come back and be forgiven. Usually if he does this his friends must be nearby. Check this and see. If it is then this act is for his friends.(Showing them that he can dog a girl and hurt her and think nothing of it later.)
If his friends are not around, but he does this, then you need to leave him alone because he does not care about you at all. (Or he has a serious problem) Always watch for the warning signs. He may or may not be an abuser. Please be careful.

Because the boys are immature and/or don't understand their own feelings. Oftentimes the act of being "mean" demonstrates they they may actually like the girl they're being mean to. They just don't have the experience or self-awareness to respond appropriately. As people grow older they learn to treat others better (at least one would hope they would).

they probably and most of the time do it, because they dont like the girl, and they just dont want the girl to like him and they do the exact opposite that the girl liked about the boy, and treating her bad so she wont like him anymore
