He's probably too old now, but Robert Vaughn (Napolean Solo on The Man From U.N.C.L.E.) would have done a super job. My vote for someone more current and in the news now - William Shatner - can you imagine Denny Crane or James T. Kirk in charge? Much better than what we have now.

Schwarzenegger just got elected to his 2nd term as Governor of CA - and this is California we're talking about!

The same California that elected Pelosi so many times with a huge margin of victory now elected a moderate/conservative Republican!

If he could be re-elected as the leader of liberal California that has been a blue state for a long time now, why couldn't he be the leader of a country that is much less liberal?

No actor will ever make a good president. In fact, other than Clinton, there is no such thing as a good president.

I can not think of 1 Republican actor. They are all far left nut jobs who can PRETEND really well. Does that qualify them for office?
I will edit my response if I can come up with ANYONE!

(Although in reality I have absolutely no idea of what political party he associates with .... not sure it matters anymore anyway)

Former Senator Fred Thomson.

He's got the mojo and he's right on the issues.

Martin Sheen.
Because he has played the President so many times on TV and in the movies, there would be no adjustment period.
