Hi I need some help trying to think of a title to a movie, I cant remember all the details, but here it goes.
The movie is set at christmas, and the main actor (unknown) breaks into a house that contains a rich family. However the house has people in it and its a family and they are always arguing, so he has to counsel them throughout. As the movie develops more and more of the family arrives including the mother in law, and the main actor has to try and stop them from arguing. anyway its a black comedy made i think in the early 90's.
Sorry its not the best description in the world.
any help on this would be appreciated.

Most definitely, you're referring (as others have said) to "The Ref," starring the no-longer-unknown Denis Leary, Kevin Spacey, and the incomparable Judy Davis.

YES! That was a hilarious movie! If you like it, try "Suicide Kings", with Christopher Walken, Dennis Leary, and a bunch of younger actors whose names I can't remember. A bunch of prep-school guys kidnap Walken, who plays a mob boss who's "gone straight".
They figure he can pull strings to get one of their sisters released, who was ALSO kidnapped, but it all goes to hell, as Walken manipulates them, while Dennis Leary goes around shooting people right and left (usually the wrong ones).
